Marketing departments of companies and local administrations often misuse “Smart city” concept, talking about “the city of the future”.
Its definition relates instead to a set of strategies to optimize and connect public services and infrastructures – in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.
The smart city is based on 6 principles:

- smart mobility
The smart city is not only an intelligent city, but also an innovative, efficient, sustainable and interconnected city.
